@millenomi Is it ok to use libxslt to do this processing? It would require installing an extra library, but no different to needing libxml2.

Is this used by Darwin's Foundation to do the transforms? I see that there is a /usr/lib/libxslt.dylib installed on macOS but cant see it linked into Foundation.

It is too late to add a dependency for 5.1, but we will make a diagnostic available with: #2474
