Issue Description:

When using `utils/update-checkout --scheme main` I had an interesting error:

======UPDATE FAILURES======
/Users/michaelverges/swift-project/swift-argument-parser failed (ret=1): ['git', 'checkout', u'0.4.3']
error: pathspec '0.4.3' did not match any file(s) known to git


update-checkout failed, fix errors and try again

However, using `utils/update-checkout` with no arguments updated successfully. I think it is expected for these commands to behave similarly.
