When you use copyItem() to copy a file under MacOS, it copies the attributes of the file, in particular the last modify date. (I haven't tested other attributes.)
Under Raspian Linux, the last modify date is the date the copy was done, not the date of the original file.
It seems to me the linux version should match the Mac version, even if standard for a copy in linux is different.
I.e. copyItem() should do the copy with the equivalent of the 'cp' command '-p' option.
