relates to:

  • SR-4049 Shadowing nested func in do statement causes ambiguity
  • SR-2777 Diagnostics missing when method name shadows a global function with a different signature.

Issue Description:

This seems like it should be valid, but is rejected by Swift v4:

func f0(_ a: Int) {
    func f0(b: Int) {
        f0(b)
    }
}

It is rejected as:

$ swiftc -c z.swift
z.swift:3:12: error: missing argument label 'b:' in call
        f0(b)
           ^
           b:
